The space is amazing and the girls who run the gallery are great and being on Oxford st means maximum exposure to all walks of life! I liked it so much that I have continued to sell my work through the gallery for the next 11 weeks! So if you didnt make it to the opening, then you have 11 weeks to get yourself down there.

I had such a great response to my window installation piece that I’ve deciced to do another window display this coming May the 15th, 2012 @ Platform72, running for 1 week. I’ll be using the same technique but with new illustrations never seen before!

Street art has jumped off the pavement and onto the walls of the STVDIO (see STVDIO blog post) and World Movies offices, with a great new commissioned piece by Sydney artist Brad Robson. The striking work uses iconic images from the world of art and film, with splashes of STVDIO branded pink and World Movies blue. Brad’s work can be spotted around the streets of Sydney, including Erskineville village where he lives.

In this time-lapse footage filmed over one weekend, you can see the talented artist at work and watch the walls come alive. – Warren Powell, Creative Services Manager

Below is a mural I created inspired by the city in all its chaos, an interpretation of a place that’s so large and has so many people that it seems impossible to stand out from the crowd, blending in with the masses or being swallowed up by day to day grind. Anything is possible in NYC!

“Meandering through the rest of the Indigenous Australian Exhibition, you bump into Erskineville based artist Brad Robson hard at work. A time-lapse camera beeps like a ticking bomb but Robson seems unperturbed by neither the ominous beat nor passers-by. ‘It’s no different with people around. I like to see people react to my work but mostly, I’m in the zone.’ His artwork is well suited to the live environment as it’s filled with a wealth of gothic and street/urban inspired detail that unravels as the night does.
